Welcome, friends!
I’m delighted to kick off this exciting new phase for my business as a Berkshire Wedding Planner. New name, new website, and new blog! Here I’ll be sharing wedding planning advice and inspiration, as well as showcasing some amazing local suppliers. I’ll also be sharing highlights from some of the beautifully vibrant weddings and parties in Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire that I design and plan. I can’t wait!
My background before I became a Berkshire Wedding Planner
Before I get started, I want to share a little insight into who I am, my background, and how I now find myself planning weddings and parties in Berkshire and surrounding counties. It really is the best job in the world, and I consider it my pleasure and privilege to do it!
My route into becoming a luxury wedding planner wasn’t straightforward, but the best journeys never are! Over the years, I’ve spent time working in interior design and property marketing. I even did a stint sailing the seas on board a 70ft racing yacht! Along the way, I became Mum to three gorgeous children, and made our home in the chocolate box village of Lambourn. And, while my days of ocean racing may be over, there’s still nothing I love more than getting a bit of sea air!
I’ve always been that person who loves to organise social events for friends and family, as well as a bit of a magpie. I find joy in beautiful things, and see beauty all around me, in the tiniest moments and details. I especially love colour, ribbons, silk and feathers – and you should see my collection of shoes! I also love helping others, and I take a lot of pride in my community. There’s so much local talent to discover!
It’s all of these qualities and experiences that I’ve been able to bring to Honour & Pop since I started the business in 2017. There’s so many things I love about working in the world of weddings and parties. Helping my clients celebrate the milestone moments of their lives. Meeting new people (I am a people person through and through!). Using my eye for detail to turn an ordinary event into a vibrant, unforgettable one. Employing my extensive network of local contacts in Berkshire and neighbouring counties to make magic happen. This is the job that I was made to do, and I bring all my passion and enthusiasm to it every day.
Now, with a fresh brand and sparkly new website, I finally feel like all these elements have come together. I’m so excited for everything that the future holds, and for all the beautifully vibrant weddings and parties in Berkshire (and beyond!) that await!
