Wiltshire Wedding Planner. An Elegant At Home Garden Wedding for Camilla & Severin

Some weddings simply radiate charm from the very first moment—and Camilla and Severin’s celebration in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside was just that. As a Wiltshire wedding planner, it’s always a privilege to bring a couple’s story to life, but this Anglo-French wedding, set at the bride’s family home, was a particularly special one. It was warm, heartfelt, and full of the kind of moments you never forget.

This was more than just a wedding—it was a weekend of love and laughter that beautifully wove together two cultures, two languages, and two families, all within the romantic setting of an at home garden wedding.

A Home with Heart: Setting the Scene

Camilla and Severin chose to celebrate their wedding at Camilla’s family home, nestled in a picturesque corner of Wiltshire. The setting was perfect for an at home garden wedding—a charming walled garden, mature trees, rolling countryside, and an abundance of history and heart. With many guests travelling from France, the setting offered a warm, personal welcome that reflected the couple’s shared values of family, tradition, and togetherness.

Guests were greeted with a refreshing drink on arrival—an important touch, as it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year! It was a relaxed yet elegant welcome, the perfect way to begin the celebrations and let guests soak in the beautiful surroundings before the ceremony.

A Bilingual Ceremony in Bloom

The wedding ceremony took place in a beautifully styled marquee tucked inside the garden walls, dressed with soft florals and natural textures by the wonderful team at Wendy Lewis Flowers. The marquee was light, open, and filled with happy emotion.

One of the most touching aspects of the day was the bilingual ceremony. The celebrant delivered the service in both English and French, allowing guests from both sides of the Channel to feel included and understanding every word. We also created a dual-language order of service so everyone could follow along easily, a small but meaningful detail that helped bridge the gap between cultures with thoughtfulness.

The ceremony itself was deeply personal. Camilla and Severin’s vows were full of tenderness and sincerity, and the happiness in the air was unmistakable. Children played a role in the ceremony too, wearing custom-made polo shirts printed with the wedding date and scattering handfuls of confetti in playful celebration. It was one of those moments that felt unscripted and utterly genuine—exactly what an at home garden wedding is all about.

Camilla looked effortlessly elegant in the Toledo Dress by Temperley London — a romantic, ivory-toned gown featuring delicately hand-painted florals in euphorically bright colours, that perfectly suited the relaxed yet refined feel of the celebration.

English Garden Reception Meets French Flair

Following the ceremony, the celebration flowed effortlessly into a garden drinks reception. Live piano music drifted through the air as guests mingled amongst the manicured borders, clinking glasses of Champagne and playing lawn games in the sunshine. It was the kind of laid-back, calm and happy atmosphere that only a garden setting can offer—elegant, yet completely unpretentious.

As a Wiltshire wedding planner, I often find that at home garden weddings allow for these beautiful in-between moments—natural, unscripted fun that doesn’t follow a strict venue schedule but flows with the rhythm of the day.

Another fun and personal detail? The couple originally met while travelling back and forth to Paris on EasyJet flights—so to honour that, we had custom iced biscuits created in the shape of planes and flags representing both the UK and France. It was a sweet, playful nod to the beginning of their journey together and brought huge smiles to guests’ faces.

Dinner, Design & Dancing Under the Stars

As the evening approached, guests were gently ushered into a second marquee for dinner—a beautifully styled space that echoed the natural charm of the garden with soft lighting, layered textures, and abundant florals. The catering, provided by the talented team at Archie’s, was a real highlight of the evening. Seasonal, generous, and beautifully presented, it added a relaxed sophistication to the night that everyone raved about.

The puddings were particularly memorable: a trio of individual desserts including mini brownies, delicate lemon tarts, and vibrant raspberry macarons—all exquisitely plated and brimming with flavour.

The dinner marquee, like the ceremony space, was brought to life with elegant styling and carefully curated floral arrangements by Wendy Lewis. From the candlelit tables to the lush greenery that spilled across every surface, every corner felt intentionally designed but entirely in harmony with the surroundings.

And for the wedding cake? A towering croquembouche served as their wedding cake—a traditional French showstopper of caramel-glazed profiteroles that added theatrical flair and another wonderful nod to Severin’s heritage.

Heartfelt speeches followed the meal, with moments of laughter and happy tears. Then it was time to party—with a DJ bringing the energy and keeping the dancefloor alive well into the night.

Sunday Brunch: The Perfect Wind-Down

One of the best things about at home garden weddings is the ability to extend the celebration—and Camilla and Severin did just that with a relaxed Sunday brunch the following morning. Guests returned to the garden for an informal BBQ, complete with a retro-style ice cream cart, swimming, and garden games for all ages.

It was a joyful, sunny continuation of the weekend, and the perfect way to reflect on all the magical moments of the day before. Children splashed in the pool, guests lingered over food and conversation, and there was a shared sense of pleasure in the air. It reminded us all that weddings aren’t just about one day—they’re about creating memories that last a lifetime.

The Honour & Pop Approach: Planning With Heart

From the first meeting to the final goodbye, my role as Camilla and Severin’s Wiltshire wedding planner was to guide, support, and bring their vision to life. I provided full planning support—from overseeing the marquee build and managing supplier timelines to curating the look and feel of the day.

Marquee weddings are full of moving parts, especially when they take place at home. I coordinated logistics, styled both marquees, handled weather contingencies, and created a comprehensive timeline to ensure every detail was carefully considered. I was there throughout the build-up and, of course, present on the day itself to keep everything flowing smoothly—so Camilla and Severin could focus on enjoying the celebration with their loved ones.

My mission with every wedding is to make it feel effortless for my couples, and that’s exactly what we achieved here: a celebration that looked as beautiful as it felt.
